Job Description
Role details:
Database and Systems Support Officer.
Permanent Full-Time, 8am to 4pm, with 1 day WFH.
NB: can be considered on a Part-Time basis, Tuesday to Friday.
Start date negotiable.
Reports to the Information Systems Manager.
Key duties:
Support in the provision of a functional, stable, and efficient database and systems environment supporting multiple applications across the school.
(Systems are Edumate, Schoolbox, Google Workspace for Education, EnrolHQ, EdSmart, Clipboard, Micropay, and Edval.)
Ensure data is securely maintained, managed, and accessible as required.
Assist in the integration of systems and data sets to achieve optimal UX.
Respond to requests for information and reports via HelpDesk system.
Assist in training non-ICT users to access information and use systems to achieve desired outcomes.
Develop and maintain relevant procedural documentation (operational, technical, config)
Contribute to the development of standards and governance principles.
Application inventory management.
Liaison with third-party software providers to ensure reliable, secure, and seamless functionality.
Assist with other operational and project work across the wider ICT team.
Desired Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate:
Demonstrated experience working in the ICT department of a school, with a core focus on database administration and data extraction.
Working knowledge of the above listed systems (or similar SIS / LMS), ideally with proficiency in Edumate and Schoolbox.
Comfortable working with multiple databases and datasets of varying formats.
Experience in Business Intelligence report and dashboard design (ideally MS PowerBI).
Very high attention to detail.
A knack for problem-solving.
Internal customer service skills with an ability to 'translate' for non-technical stakeholders.
Personable with a good sense of humour.
A confident and communicative team player who makes a positive contribution to the life and culture of Kambala.
